Fresh air and fun with the CRC!
As part of the 2010 Fundraising Calendar the CRC Fundraising Department is organising a day walk in Wicklow during September, (Date will be confirmed shortly)
Starting at the car park in Glendalough, the looped route will follow the first section of St Kevin’s Way and is a good challenge, particularly for less experienced or rusty walkers (so no excuses!)! The distance, depending on fitness levels of participants can be lengthened or shortened to suit on the day, but will be no more than 20km and will take about 6 hours to complete. It will take in many interesting sites such as the disused mining areas, the hydro electric power station, the Van Diemens mines and the Spink Mountain. There is also interesting flora and Fauna to see in the area, particularly deer.
In order to participate on this fun day-trek in the Garden of Ireland you must complete the attached application form and return it to the CRC Fundraising Department along with a €25 registration fee. On receipt of your completed application form a sponsorship card will be issued to you and all we ask is that you raise a minimum sponsorship of €100, that’s just €5 per kilometre! Santa Bear Appeal 2010
December 1st - 11th
The Santa Bear Appeal is the Central Remedial Clinic's biggest annual fundraiser. To date we have collected in excess of €1million for the Clinic's work. This has enabled the Central Remedial Clinic, a nationwide charity providing services throughout Ireland to people with physical and multiple disabilities to improve, grow and develop. All the services available at the CRC are provided Free of Charge and as such, the Clinic needs to raise a great deal of money to maintain the high standard of care which it strives to provide. The expansion and availability of these free services is made possible by the dedicated support we receive from volunteers, schools, companies and iindividuals who participate in and contribute to our fundraising campaigns such as the Santa Bear Appeal.
The Santa Bear Appeal commences on December 1st. YOUR participation in the Santa Bear Appeal is vital to its success; therefore we really need your help.
We are asking you to raise just €100 by selling 50 Santa Bears for a minimum donation of €2 per bear. Alternatively, you can raise €100 by raffling a large Santa Bear, selling fifty lines for €2 each or selling 20 Baby Santa Bears at €5 each.
Every €100 raised will enable us to continue to improve the vital services offered. PLEASE HELP! Contact the CRC Santa Bear Appeal office on Freephone 1800 612 612 or email santabear@crc.ie
