CRC and landmark buildings in Ireland go purple to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Tuesday 3rd December

“Tuesday 3rd December is International Day of Persons with Disabilities and for the second year running disability activist Gary Kearney and the Disability Federation of Ireland are planning to flood landmark buildings in Ireland in purple lights to salute the 643,131 people in Ireland, (over 13% of the population) who live with a disability. CRC are joining the campaign with centres and staff going purple for the day. The theme of IDPwd for 2019 is “The Future is Accessible”

On December 3rd CRC will officially launch its Purple Ribbon in CRC Firhouse Local Centre and Minister Finian McGrath, Minister for Disabilities will be in attendance at the launch.
