“CRC Training & Development Centre are delighted to receive a grant OF €10,425 from the ESB Energy for Generations Fund. The grant will go a long way to fund educational materials, software, and equipment/hardware to facilitate the online delivery of classes to our adults.”
The CRC Adult Services Training and Development Centre (TDC) delivers a range of QQI and ASDAN accredited courses and informal programmes. These help adults with disabilities
maintain their physical and mental health, and learn personal, social, and employability skills. Programmes are built around individualised and group supports, education, and work preparation carefully designed to empower our clients with practical skills needed to live more independent lives in the community.
Implementing online learning solutions to adapt CRC Training and Development Centre programmes to the COVID-19 crisis.
The support from ESB Energy for Generations Fund ensures we can purchase essential equipment such as cameras, microphones, and educational software needed to design and
provide critically important educational and social supports in innovative new ways as we adjust to COVID-19. These include twice daily classes in horticulture, cooking, LAMH, sports, wellbeing, and personal development; a twice weekly wellbeing video; and opportunities to socialise together – all delivered virtually.
The support of mental health resources like Big Life journals will help clients overcome isolation. The resources we develop will have a lasting impact for years to come, expanding and deepening the support and education CRC can offer. Thank you to ESB Energy for Generations Fund for your support of CRC, it is so very welcome.
