The CRC is one of the largest voluntary organisations in Ireland working with people with disabilities, their families, advocates and supporters since its foundation in 1951.
Through the provision of services, at both local and national level, the CRC aims to make a real difference to people with disabilities – adults and children – by providing a range of medical, therapeutic, social, educational and rehabilitative supports and interventions.
In 2014 a major revitalisation of the governance structures took place with the appointment of a competency-based Board and has since been the basis for continuous improvements. This has been recognised in the achievement of the following awards.
- Charity Excellence Awards 2019: Best Charity Board Award
- Good Governance Award 2018: Best Governance Improvement Initiative
As a number of the Directors have served two terms on the Board they are stepping down from the Board in early 2020.
The CRC is seeking three new Non-Executive Directors to complement the existing skill set of the Board. Following a recent review of the skills matrix, the following skillsets were identified as being desirable for the Board:
- Human Resources
Interested candidates with any of the above skill sets who can add to the exceptional work achieved to date by the CRC Board are invited to apply.
Applicants must submit a CV and supporting statement to demonstrate how they meet the criteria for the post to Therese Allen, CRC Company Secretary at email@example.com on or before 5.00pm, Monday 30th September 2019.
