Priority is given to early intervention through therapy and we develop an Individual Education Plan (IEP) for each child.

The pre-school has an open door policy where parents are welcomed and encouraged to be involved in their child’s education. At the end of the pre-school year, the child may transfer to local school or remain in Scoil Mochua, according to their needs. All children receive a high level of care appropriate to their needs. The pre-school programme is guided by Aistear: the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework. This aims to prepare children for the formal school curriculum.
