Driver

Permanent full-time position,39 hours per week.  Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends when required is essential.

CRC are looking to recruit a full-time permanent Driver to support our Transport Service in Dublin.  The role involves transporting adults to and from their homes to our Centre in Clontarf and other Centres in the Dublin area; along with other driving requirements.  Occasional driving to our regional centres in Waterford and Limerick may be necessary.   

 

Applicants for this position should have the following essential criteria:

 

  • A full clean D1 driving licence
  • Be current with driver CPC obligations
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience driving in the disability sector
  • Have the ability, when necessary to work on their own initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be an excellent and innovative team member with a strong commitment to the empowerment of people who have a disability
  • Have a good awareness of health & safety issues
  • Flexible approach to work, the successful candidates will be available on occasion to work evenings and weekends

 

The following criteria are desirable but not essential:

 

  • Experience of using clamping equipment for wheelchair users
  • A social studies or other relevant qualification such as Healthcare Support – QQI Level 5 full award
