Get In The Sea For The CRC

The CRC’s second ever annual sea swimming event launched with a bang on Friday the 1st of July at Dollymount Strand.

Our first ever sea swim ambassador Paralympic Gold Medallist, Ellen Keane was joined by a terrific group including staff and service users of The CRC, some members of the Dollymount Dames swim group and members of the public to make a splash in celebration of the first day of the challenge.

Get In The Sea For The CRC challenges its swimmers to commit to taking 10 sea swims in July all in support of babies, children and adults with disabilities. Our swimmers create a wonderful community together through the month where they share pictures of their swims with some fabulous locations from all over the world and they encourage each other to keep the momentum up and the spirits high.

Its great to get such great feedback from our swimmers:

Wonderful experience, loved every minute, connecting with the sea, definitely recommend it”

“Delighted to do this challenge for the CRC Clontarf. Thanks to everyone who donated.
